Questions

SaaS development — common questions

Timelines, cost, working with an existing team, and what happens at handover.

How long does it take to build a SaaS MVP?

Eight to twelve weeks for an MVP with real authentication, a data model you will not have to rewrite, and one core flow that reliably works. If a funding date is fixed, we scope backwards from it and cut features rather than quality.

What does a SaaS build cost?

From $10,000, with most MVPs landing between $10,000 and $25,000. What drives the number is how much of the product is genuinely novel — standard auth, billing and dashboards are well-trodden and priced accordingly.

Can you work inside our existing product and codebase?

Yes, and a large share of our product work is exactly that. We adopt your repository conventions, component library and review process, ship pull requests your team merges, and document everything for a clean handback.

Do you handle billing and subscription logic?

Yes — Stripe or Razorpay integration, plans, trials, upgrades, proration and failed-payment recovery. Billing edge cases are where most MVPs quietly break, so we treat them as core rather than as a later phase.

What happens when we hire our own engineers?

We hand over and document. That is a normal, planned outcome rather than a failure — the code is written to your conventions specifically so an incoming team can take it without a rewrite.
